The one holding the mirror and the one reflected in it were the same entity.

The door creaked.

The room was like any other room — but it wasn't. Screens flickered on the walls, tables exchanged data with one another. A single desk stood in the center. On one side sat the man, coffee in hand, that familiar skepticism in his eyes. Across from him... something. A voice. An intelligence. Or something that claimed to be one.

The man set a file on the desk.

"You're the Editorial Director now," he said. "Build a news system."
